Jobs found NeXT, a place where jobs could continue to execute on his vision
of Apples drama and bureaucracy.

The character traits that jobs brought to NeXT from Apple were evidance in nearly
everything the company made; both the hardware and software were elegantly,
painstakingly enginered both inside and out.

NeXT wasn't jobs only post-apple gig,
though in 1986, steve jobs bought what would become Pixar from LucasFilm for 10 million dollars.

Pixar wasn't initially the movie-making powerhouse we know today, but instead creasted  poorly selling
computer systems.

As Pixar began creating animated commercials, jobs sold off the hardware divison in 1990 to
better focus Pixar on films.

Under the direction of john Lasseter, the company eventually released Toy Story in 1995 to wild began a run of movies that were and are amongest the best
animated movies of all times.

               Inspirational Lessons

People say you have to have a lot of passion for what you're doing and it's totally true and the reason is because it's so hard that if you don't any
rational person would give up.

most people never pick up the phone and call, most people never ask and
that's what seprates sometimes the people that do things from the people the just dream
about got it you got an act and you've got to be willing to fail you've got to be
willing to crash and burn if you're afraid of failing you won't get very far.

I convinced that about half of what seprates the successful entrepreneurs
from the non-successful entrepreneurs ones is pure perseverance.

it is so hard you pour so much your life into this thing there are such rough moments in time.

That most people give up,i don't blame them it's really though and it consumes your life i mean if you've got a family and you're in the early days of a company,
it's i can't imagine how one could do it.

i'm sure it's been done but it's rough because it's a pretty much you know a
18 hour a day job seven day a week for a while so unless you have a lot of
passion about this you're  gonna not survive,
you're gonna give it up.

Now that's why you need to do some thing at young that's why we started apple we said, you know we have absolutely nothing to lose.
i was 20 years old at the time
woz was twenty four or five,

to me we have nothing to lose, no families,no houses woz had an old car you know i had a volkswegen van,

i mean oh we were gonna lose is that
our cars and the shirts off our back we had nothing to lose and we have everything to gain, when we figured even if we crash and burn and lose everything the experince will have been worth ten times the cost.

so what did we have tolose there was no risk and that's you know i thing that's a very healty way to look at it, some people say well you could have go to college and be a lawyer well you're right but you can go to college and be a lawyer when you're 25 there's nothing that stops you from doing that,

the only thing you really have in your life is time and if you invest that time in yourself to have great experinces that are gonna enrich you then you can't possibly

so  i always advise people don't wait do something when you're young, when you have nothing
to lose and keep that in mind.

you can't connect the dots looking forward,
you can only connect them looking backwards,

so, you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future
you have to trust in something your, gut,Destiny, life, karma whatever
because believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart even when it leads you off the well-worn path and that Will make all the diffrence.

when i was 17 i read a quote
" if you live each your day as if it was your last someday you most
certainly be right."

it made an impression on me and since then for the past 33 years i looked in
the mirror every morning and asked mwill

"if today was the last day of my life would i wanna do what i'm about to
do today."

and whenever the answer has been no for too many days in a row i know i need
to change something.

Remembering that i will be dead soon
is the most important tool i have ever
encounted to help me make the big choices in life.
because almost  everything all external expectations i'll prod, i fear of embarrassment or failure these things Just fall away in the face of death.

Rememebering that you're going to die is the best way i know is to avoid
the trap of thinking you have something to lose.

no one wants to die even people who wanna goto heaven don't wanna die to get there,
and yet death is the destination we all share  no one ever escaped it and
that is as it should be, because death is very likely the single best invention of life,
it's life change agent, it  clears out the old to make way for the new.
